How To Uninstall libfbclient2 On Debian 8

To uninstall libfbclient2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libfbclient2

Firebird client libraryDebian 8.0libs2.5.3.26778.ds4-5+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove libfbclient2

This will remove just the libfbclient2 package itself.

Uninstall libfbclient2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libfbclient2

This will remove the libfbclient2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libfbclient2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libfbclient2

Or similarly, like this libfbclient2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libfbclient2
