How To Uninstall libfdt1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libfdt1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libfdt1

Flat Device Trees manipulation libraryDebian 8.0libs1.4.0+dfsg-1
sudo apt-get remove libfdt1

This will remove just the libfdt1 package itself.

Uninstall libfdt1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libfdt1

This will remove the libfdt1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libfdt1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libfdt1

Or similarly, like this libfdt1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libfdt1
