How To Uninstall libfontforge-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libfontforge-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libfontforge-dev

font editor - runtime library (development files)Debian 8.0libdevel20120731.b-5+b3
sudo apt-get remove libfontforge-dev

This will remove just the libfontforge-dev package itself.

Uninstall libfontforge-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libfontforge-dev

This will remove the libfontforge-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libfontforge-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libfontforge-dev

Or similarly, like this libfontforge-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libfontforge-dev
