How To Uninstall libfontforge1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libfontforge1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libfontforge1

font editor - runtime libraryDebian 8.0libs20120731.b-5+b3
sudo apt-get remove libfontforge1

This will remove just the libfontforge1 package itself.

Uninstall libfontforge1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libfontforge1

This will remove the libfontforge1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libfontforge1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libfontforge1

Or similarly, like this libfontforge1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libfontforge1
