How To Uninstall libfreehdl0 On Debian 8

To uninstall libfreehdl0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libfreehdl0

VHDL simulator for Linux (shared libraries)Debian 8.0libs0.0.8-2.1
sudo apt-get remove libfreehdl0

This will remove just the libfreehdl0 package itself.

Uninstall libfreehdl0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libfreehdl0

This will remove the libfreehdl0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libfreehdl0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libfreehdl0

Or similarly, like this libfreehdl0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libfreehdl0
