How To Uninstall libfreeipmi16 On Debian 8

To uninstall libfreeipmi16 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libfreeipmi16

GNU IPMI - librariesDebian 8.0libs1.4.5-3
sudo apt-get remove libfreeipmi16

This will remove just the libfreeipmi16 package itself.

Uninstall libfreeipmi16 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libfreeipmi16

This will remove the libfreeipmi16 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libfreeipmi16 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libfreeipmi16

Or similarly, like this libfreeipmi16

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libfreeipmi16
