How To Uninstall libfreerdp-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libfreerdp-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libfreerdp-dev

Free Remote Desktop Protocol library (development files)Debian 8.0libdevel1.1.0~git20140921.1.440916e+dfsg1-4
sudo apt-get remove libfreerdp-dev

This will remove just the libfreerdp-dev package itself.

Uninstall libfreerdp-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libfreerdp-dev

This will remove the libfreerdp-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libfreerdp-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libfreerdp-dev

Or similarly, like this libfreerdp-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libfreerdp-dev
