How To Uninstall libftgl2 On Debian 8

To uninstall libftgl2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libftgl2

library to render text in OpenGL using FreeTypeDebian 8.0libs2.1.3~rc5-4+nmu1
sudo apt-get remove libftgl2

This will remove just the libftgl2 package itself.

Uninstall libftgl2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libftgl2

This will remove the libftgl2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libftgl2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libftgl2

Or similarly, like this libftgl2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libftgl2
