How To Uninstall libgcc1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgcc1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgcc1

linuxGCC support librarylibs1:4.9.2-10
sudo apt-get remove libgcc1

This will remove just the libgcc1 package itself.

Uninstall libgcc1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgcc1

This will remove the libgcc1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgcc1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgcc1

Or similarly, like this libgcc1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgcc1
