How To Uninstall libgcj14-awt On Debian 8

To uninstall libgcj14-awt just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgcj14-awt

AWT peer runtime libraries for use with gcjDebian 8.0libs4.8.4-1
sudo apt-get remove libgcj14-awt

This will remove just the libgcj14-awt package itself.

Uninstall libgcj14-awt and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgcj14-awt

This will remove the libgcj14-awt package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgcj14-awt then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgcj14-awt

Or similarly, like this libgcj14-awt

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgcj14-awt
