How To Uninstall libgcj14-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libgcj14-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgcj14-dev

Java development headers for use with gcjDebian 8.0libdevel4.8.4-1
sudo apt-get remove libgcj14-dev

This will remove just the libgcj14-dev package itself.

Uninstall libgcj14-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgcj14-dev

This will remove the libgcj14-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgcj14-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgcj14-dev

Or similarly, like this libgcj14-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgcj14-dev
