How To Uninstall libgcu-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libgcu-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgcu-dbg

GNOME chemistry utils (debugging symbols)Debian 8.0debug0.14.9-1
sudo apt-get remove libgcu-dbg

This will remove just the libgcu-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgcu-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgcu-dbg

This will remove the libgcu-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgcu-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgcu-dbg

Or similarly, like this libgcu-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgcu-dbg
