How To Uninstall libgdcm-java On Debian 8

To uninstall libgdcm-java just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgdcm-java

Grassroots DICOM Java bindingsDebian 8.0java2.4.4-3+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove libgdcm-java

This will remove just the libgdcm-java package itself.

Uninstall libgdcm-java and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgdcm-java

This will remove the libgdcm-java package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgdcm-java then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgdcm-java

Or similarly, like this libgdcm-java

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgdcm-java
