How To Uninstall libgdcm-tools On Debian 8

To uninstall libgdcm-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgdcm-tools

Grassroots DICOM tools and utilitiesDebian 8.0utils2.4.4-3+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove libgdcm-tools

This will remove just the libgdcm-tools package itself.

Uninstall libgdcm-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgdcm-tools

This will remove the libgdcm-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgdcm-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgdcm-tools

Or similarly, like this libgdcm-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgdcm-tools
