How To Uninstall libgdcm2.4-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libgdcm2.4-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgdcm2.4-dbg

Grassroots DICOM runtime libraries, debug versionDebian 8.0debug2.4.4-3+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove libgdcm2.4-dbg

This will remove just the libgdcm2.4-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgdcm2.4-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgdcm2.4-dbg

This will remove the libgdcm2.4-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgdcm2.4-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgdcm2.4-dbg

Or similarly, like this libgdcm2.4-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgdcm2.4-dbg
