How To Uninstall libgdict-common On Debian 8

To uninstall libgdict-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgdict-common

GNOME Dictionary base library - common filesDebian 8.0libs3.14.1-1
sudo apt-get remove libgdict-common

This will remove just the libgdict-common package itself.

Uninstall libgdict-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgdict-common

This will remove the libgdict-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgdict-common then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgdict-common

Or similarly, like this libgdict-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgdict-common
