How To Uninstall libgdm-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libgdm-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgdm-dev

GNOME Display Manager (development files)Debian 8.0libdevel3.14.1-7
sudo apt-get remove libgdm-dev

This will remove just the libgdm-dev package itself.

Uninstall libgdm-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgdm-dev

This will remove the libgdm-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgdm-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgdm-dev

Or similarly, like this libgdm-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgdm-dev
