How To Uninstall libgearman7 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgearman7 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgearman7

Library providing Gearman client and worker functionsDebian 8.0libs1.0.6-5
sudo apt-get remove libgearman7

This will remove just the libgearman7 package itself.

Uninstall libgearman7 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgearman7

This will remove the libgearman7 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgearman7 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgearman7

Or similarly, like this libgearman7

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgearman7
