How To Uninstall libgenometools0 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgenometools0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgenometools0

versatile genome analysis libraryDebian 8.0libs1.5.3-2
sudo apt-get remove libgenometools0

This will remove just the libgenometools0 package itself.

Uninstall libgenometools0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgenometools0

This will remove the libgenometools0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgenometools0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgenometools0

Or similarly, like this libgenometools0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgenometools0
