How To Uninstall libgeos-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libgeos-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgeos-dbg

Debugging symbols for the GEOS libraryDebian 8.0debug3.4.2-6
sudo apt-get remove libgeos-dbg

This will remove just the libgeos-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgeos-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgeos-dbg

This will remove the libgeos-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgeos-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgeos-dbg

Or similarly, like this libgeos-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgeos-dbg
