How To Uninstall libgexiv2-2-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libgexiv2-2-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgexiv2-2-dbg

GObject-based wrapper around the Exiv2 library (debugging symbols)Debian 8.0debug0.10.2-2
sudo apt-get remove libgexiv2-2-dbg

This will remove just the libgexiv2-2-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgexiv2-2-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgexiv2-2-dbg

This will remove the libgexiv2-2-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgexiv2-2-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgexiv2-2-dbg

Or similarly, like this libgexiv2-2-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgexiv2-2-dbg
