How To Uninstall libgfal2-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libgfal2-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgfal2-dev

Development files of gfal2Debian 8.0libdevel2.3.0-4+b1
sudo apt-get remove libgfal2-dev

This will remove just the libgfal2-dev package itself.

Uninstall libgfal2-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgfal2-dev

This will remove the libgfal2-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgfal2-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgfal2-dev

Or similarly, like this libgfal2-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgfal2-dev
