How To Uninstall libgflags-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libgflags-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgflags-dev

commandline flags module for C++ (development files)Debian 8.0libdevel2.0-2.1
sudo apt-get remove libgflags-dev

This will remove just the libgflags-dev package itself.

Uninstall libgflags-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgflags-dev

This will remove the libgflags-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgflags-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgflags-dev

Or similarly, like this libgflags-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgflags-dev
