How To Uninstall libgflags2 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgflags2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgflags2

commandline flags module for C++ (shared library)Debian 8.0libs2.0-2.1
sudo apt-get remove libgflags2

This will remove just the libgflags2 package itself.

Uninstall libgflags2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgflags2

This will remove the libgflags2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgflags2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgflags2

Or similarly, like this libgflags2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgflags2
