How To Uninstall libgfs-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libgfs-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgfs-dbg

Fluid Flow Solver -- libraries with debugging symbolsDebian 8.0debug20131206+dfsg-5
sudo apt-get remove libgfs-dbg

This will remove just the libgfs-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgfs-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgfs-dbg

This will remove the libgfs-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgfs-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgfs-dbg

Or similarly, like this libgfs-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgfs-dbg
