How To Uninstall libgfs-mpi-1.3-2 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgfs-mpi-1.3-2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgfs-mpi-1.3-2

Fluid Flow Solver -- shared librariesDebian 8.0libs20131206+dfsg-5
sudo apt-get remove libgfs-mpi-1.3-2

This will remove just the libgfs-mpi-1.3-2 package itself.

Uninstall libgfs-mpi-1.3-2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgfs-mpi-1.3-2

This will remove the libgfs-mpi-1.3-2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgfs-mpi-1.3-2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgfs-mpi-1.3-2

Or similarly, like this libgfs-mpi-1.3-2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgfs-mpi-1.3-2
