How To Uninstall libgivaro1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgivaro1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgivaro1

arithmetic and algebraic computationsDebian 8.0libs3.7.2-1
sudo apt-get remove libgivaro1

This will remove just the libgivaro1 package itself.

Uninstall libgivaro1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgivaro1

This will remove the libgivaro1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgivaro1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgivaro1

Or similarly, like this libgivaro1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgivaro1
