How To Uninstall libglib2.0-data On Debian 8

To uninstall libglib2.0-data just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libglib2.0-data

Common files for GLib libraryDebian 8.0libs2.42.1-1
sudo apt-get remove libglib2.0-data

This will remove just the libglib2.0-data package itself.

Uninstall libglib2.0-data and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libglib2.0-data

This will remove the libglib2.0-data package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libglib2.0-data then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libglib2.0-data

Or similarly, like this libglib2.0-data

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libglib2.0-data
