How To Uninstall libgme-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libgme-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgme-dev

Playback library for video game music files - development filesDebian 8.0libdevel0.5.5-2+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove libgme-dev

This will remove just the libgme-dev package itself.

Uninstall libgme-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgme-dev

This will remove the libgme-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgme-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgme-dev

Or similarly, like this libgme-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgme-dev
