How To Uninstall libgmime-2.6-0-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libgmime-2.6-0-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgmime-2.6-0-dbg

MIME message parser and creator library - debugging symbolsDebian 8.0debug2.6.20-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove libgmime-2.6-0-dbg

This will remove just the libgmime-2.6-0-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgmime-2.6-0-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgmime-2.6-0-dbg

This will remove the libgmime-2.6-0-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgmime-2.6-0-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgmime-2.6-0-dbg

Or similarly, like this libgmime-2.6-0-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgmime-2.6-0-dbg
