How To Uninstall libgmlib1-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libgmlib1-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgmlib1-dbg

gnome-mplayer library (debugging symbols)Debian 8.0debug1.0.9-1
sudo apt-get remove libgmlib1-dbg

This will remove just the libgmlib1-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgmlib1-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgmlib1-dbg

This will remove the libgmlib1-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgmlib1-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgmlib1-dbg

Or similarly, like this libgmlib1-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgmlib1-dbg
