How To Uninstall libgmlib1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgmlib1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgmlib1

gnome-mplayer library (shared library)Debian 8.0libs1.0.9-1
sudo apt-get remove libgmlib1

This will remove just the libgmlib1 package itself.

Uninstall libgmlib1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgmlib1

This will remove the libgmlib1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgmlib1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgmlib1

Or similarly, like this libgmlib1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgmlib1
