How To Uninstall libgmtk1-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libgmtk1-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgmtk1-dbg

gnome-mpayer toolkit (debugging symbols)Debian 8.0debug1.0.9-1
sudo apt-get remove libgmtk1-dbg

This will remove just the libgmtk1-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgmtk1-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgmtk1-dbg

This will remove the libgmtk1-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgmtk1-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgmtk1-dbg

Or similarly, like this libgmtk1-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgmtk1-dbg
