How To Uninstall libgmtk1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgmtk1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgmtk1

gnome-mplayer toolkit (shared library)Debian 8.0libs1.0.9-1
sudo apt-get remove libgmtk1

This will remove just the libgmtk1 package itself.

Uninstall libgmtk1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgmtk1

This will remove the libgmtk1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgmtk1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgmtk1

Or similarly, like this libgmtk1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgmtk1
