How To Uninstall libgnat-4.9-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libgnat-4.9-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgnat-4.9-dbg

runtime for applications compiled with GNAT (debugging symbols)Debian 8.0debug4.9.2-1
sudo apt-get remove libgnat-4.9-dbg

This will remove just the libgnat-4.9-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgnat-4.9-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgnat-4.9-dbg

This will remove the libgnat-4.9-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgnat-4.9-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgnat-4.9-dbg

Or similarly, like this libgnat-4.9-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgnat-4.9-dbg
