How To Uninstall libgnome-menu2 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgnome-menu2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgnome-menu2

GNOME implementation of the freedesktop menu specificationDebian 8.0libs3.0.1-4
sudo apt-get remove libgnome-menu2

This will remove just the libgnome-menu2 package itself.

Uninstall libgnome-menu2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgnome-menu2

This will remove the libgnome-menu2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgnome-menu2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgnome-menu2

Or similarly, like this libgnome-menu2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgnome-menu2
