How To Uninstall libgnome2.24-cil On Debian 8

To uninstall libgnome2.24-cil just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgnome2.24-cil

CLI binding for GNOME 2.24Debian 8.0cli-mono2.24.2-3
sudo apt-get remove libgnome2.24-cil

This will remove just the libgnome2.24-cil package itself.

Uninstall libgnome2.24-cil and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgnome2.24-cil

This will remove the libgnome2.24-cil package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgnome2.24-cil then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgnome2.24-cil

Or similarly, like this libgnome2.24-cil

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgnome2.24-cil
