How To Uninstall libgnutls-openssl27 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgnutls-openssl27 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgnutls-openssl27

GNU TLS library - OpenSSL wrapperDebian 8.0libs3.3.8-6+deb8u5
sudo apt-get remove libgnutls-openssl27

This will remove just the libgnutls-openssl27 package itself.

Uninstall libgnutls-openssl27 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgnutls-openssl27

This will remove the libgnutls-openssl27 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgnutls-openssl27 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgnutls-openssl27

Or similarly, like this libgnutls-openssl27

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgnutls-openssl27
