How To Uninstall libgps-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libgps-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgps-dev

Global Positioning System - development filesDebian 8.0libdevel3.11-3
sudo apt-get remove libgps-dev

This will remove just the libgps-dev package itself.

Uninstall libgps-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgps-dev

This will remove the libgps-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgps-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgps-dev

Or similarly, like this libgps-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgps-dev
