How To Uninstall libgs9 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgs9 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgs9

interpreter for the PostScript language and for PDF - LibraryDebian 8.0libs9.06~dfsg-2+deb8u5
sudo apt-get remove libgs9

This will remove just the libgs9 package itself.

Uninstall libgs9 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgs9

This will remove the libgs9 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgs9 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgs9

Or similarly, like this libgs9

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgs9
