How To Uninstall libgsl0-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libgsl0-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgsl0-dbg

GNU Scientific Library (GSL) -- debug symbols packageDebian 8.0debug1.16+dfsg-2
sudo apt-get remove libgsl0-dbg

This will remove just the libgsl0-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgsl0-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgsl0-dbg

This will remove the libgsl0-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgsl0-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgsl0-dbg

Or similarly, like this libgsl0-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgsl0-dbg
