How To Uninstall libgtk2.0-0-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libgtk2.0-0-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgtk2.0-0-dbg

GTK+ libraries and debugging symbolsDebian 8.0debug2.24.25-3+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove libgtk2.0-0-dbg

This will remove just the libgtk2.0-0-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgtk2.0-0-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgtk2.0-0-dbg

This will remove the libgtk2.0-0-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgtk2.0-0-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgtk2.0-0-dbg

Or similarly, like this libgtk2.0-0-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgtk2.0-0-dbg
