How To Uninstall libgtkpod1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgtkpod1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgtkpod1

main library for the gtkpod package, shared libraryDebian 8.0libs2.1.4-5
sudo apt-get remove libgtkpod1

This will remove just the libgtkpod1 package itself.

Uninstall libgtkpod1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgtkpod1

This will remove the libgtkpod1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgtkpod1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgtkpod1

Or similarly, like this libgtkpod1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgtkpod1
