How To Uninstall libguice-java On Debian 8

To uninstall libguice-java just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libguice-java

lightweight dependency injection framework for Java 5 and aboveDebian 8.0java4.0~beta5-1
sudo apt-get remove libguice-java

This will remove just the libguice-java package itself.

Uninstall libguice-java and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libguice-java

This will remove the libguice-java package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libguice-java then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libguice-java

Or similarly, like this libguice-java

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libguice-java
