How To Uninstall libgyoto2 On Debian 8

To uninstall libgyoto2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgyoto2

General relativistic geodesic integration and ray-tracingDebian 8.0science0.2.3-1
sudo apt-get remove libgyoto2

This will remove just the libgyoto2 package itself.

Uninstall libgyoto2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgyoto2

This will remove the libgyoto2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgyoto2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgyoto2

Or similarly, like this libgyoto2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgyoto2
