How To Uninstall libice6 On Debian 8

To uninstall libice6 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libice6

X11 Inter-Client Exchange libraryDebian 8.0libs2:1.0.9-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove libice6

This will remove just the libice6 package itself.

Uninstall libice6 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libice6

This will remove the libice6 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libice6 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libice6

Or similarly, like this libice6

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libice6
