How To Uninstall libicu-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libicu-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libicu-dev

Development files for International Components for UnicodeDebian 8.0libdevel52.1-8+deb8u5
sudo apt-get remove libicu-dev

This will remove just the libicu-dev package itself.

Uninstall libicu-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libicu-dev

This will remove the libicu-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libicu-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libicu-dev

Or similarly, like this libicu-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libicu-dev
