How To Uninstall libipmiconsole-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libipmiconsole-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libipmiconsole-dev

GNU IPMI - ipmiconsole development packageDebian 8.0libdevel1.4.5-3
sudo apt-get remove libipmiconsole-dev

This will remove just the libipmiconsole-dev package itself.

Uninstall libipmiconsole-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libipmiconsole-dev

This will remove the libipmiconsole-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libipmiconsole-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libipmiconsole-dev

Or similarly, like this libipmiconsole-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libipmiconsole-dev
