How To Uninstall libipmidetect0 On Debian 8

To uninstall libipmidetect0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libipmidetect0

GNU IPMI - IPMI node detection libraryDebian 8.0libs1.4.5-3
sudo apt-get remove libipmidetect0

This will remove just the libipmidetect0 package itself.

Uninstall libipmidetect0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libipmidetect0

This will remove the libipmidetect0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libipmidetect0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libipmidetect0

Or similarly, like this libipmidetect0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libipmidetect0
