How To Uninstall libldap-2.4-2 On Debian 8

To uninstall libldap-2.4-2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libldap-2.4-2

OpenLDAP librariesDebian 8.0libs2.4.40+dfsg-1+deb8u2
sudo apt-get remove libldap-2.4-2

This will remove just the libldap-2.4-2 package itself.

Uninstall libldap-2.4-2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libldap-2.4-2

This will remove the libldap-2.4-2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libldap-2.4-2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libldap-2.4-2

Or similarly, like this libldap-2.4-2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libldap-2.4-2
